Church @ The Academy

For many of us it has been decades since we were at school. If only school had been like today. We started with coffee and muffins and it was great to see some new friends amongst us. 180 or so turned out, with around 30 new folks for us to meet. The coffee was great. The “buzz” was better! Our thanks to the Aberdeen University Christain Union band for leading us in worship, and helping today be a special day. And a big thank you to “Mike the Jannie” for being so helpful and thoughtful.

Were you there? What did you think? Please, leave a comment….

I was at all the C @ A services and found them stimulating, meaningful and refreshing. In the spirit of making a good thing even better, may I suggest that the shape of the chairs be a semi circle instead of straight lines? – less formal and more inclusive? Just a thought.

Whilst I really appreciated the enrichment that the praise band brought to our worship, I did find the music a bit “samey” – sorry, I am not musical so can’t explain it any other way. Do I mean that there was not enough variety of tempo? I longed to swing, just a little!
In my opinion, everything else was spot on. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make this happen.
