Newhills Church

On 18th November we had a very special birthday party for a very special lady – Ada Philip – who was 90 on 21st November. Ada had been Treasurer of the Over 50′s Fellowship since its inception and worked very hard to make the Fellowship such a success. It was a really super afternoon, with a cake, balloons and lots of fun.

Age Concern had asked us to raise funds for their organisation by holding a “Wear a Hat Day” – so, on 2nd December, all our members–even the men–turned up trumps in some unusual headgear. Prizes were awarded for the most beautiful, most unusual and best handmade hat. There was a great deal of hilarity as you can imagine as you can see from the photos. We did in fact raise
