Women Walking with God – Thoughts

Thoughts of some First Time Attendees at “Women Walking with God”

  • Conference was very well organised in the magnificently designed Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
  • There was Closeness, Fellowship and Love shared with all around.
  • Seminars were very interesting for ALL AGES including the young.
  • The Cromdale Hall where the Prayer Room was situated was very impressive, providing a calming and peaceful atmosphere for prayer and contemplation.
  • It was encouraging to meet more people with the same thoughts and beliefs.
  • The music leading to prayerful thoughts was excellent.  Lou Fellingham was a very beautiful and gifted singer, who gave inspiration to many.
  • Myra’s organisational abilities were used to the full, providing us with travel free from worries and excellent accommodation.  The large group from Aberdeen certainly added to the hilarity and general noise level!

The Women Walking with God weekend was an experience never to forget!

Last year I felt overwhelmed but massively uplifted by the weekend. This year I still felt all the same emotions plus…..

For the very first time the book of Proverbs started to fall into place for me, there was a preacher, Dotha Blackwood, who used a great deal of humour in her sermons. She was on Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night too, so I guess something was sinking in given the time she preached for!

I visited the prayer space, also for the first time. I was very emotional in my time in there and felt bombarded with thoughts of people, events and situations to pray for. No wonder there were boxes of paper hankies all over the place!

To have so many women, a fantastic band and a great venue all ‘singing off the same hymn sheet’, is a tremendous experience and I felt quite proud to be part of the event.
