Welcome to Newhills Church, Aberdeen.
There has been a Christian Church in this part of Aberdeen for over 350 years which has seen changes in society, technology, population, employment, housing and much more. But through it all the Christian Faith has remained the same without being stuck in the past.
Today Newhills Church serves a community of nearly 4,000 with one Primary School and Nursery, one Secondary School with a Special Needs Wing, two Homes for the Elderly, a Community Centre, Swimming Pool and Library.
We hold our Sunday Services at 10.30 am and 6 pm, with a monthly mid-week Service on the First Wednesday of the month at 1.30 pm. On the First Sunday of the Month we hold our morning service at Bucksburn Academy as we come down into the School to offer a more informal style of worship.
Apart from the usual youth organisations and adult groups which take place on our premises, we also run Alpha Courses, Messy Church, a Toddler Group and through our daughter charity, The Living Well Project, provide a Befriending Service and hold a fortnightly Café for those with memory loss in collaboration with Aberdeen City Council and NHS Grampian And twice a week we join with others in the community to provide the “Beacon Cuppa” at the Beacon Community Centre.
We would love to see you come and join us at any of our activities or at our times of Worship. You will find more information about all of these within this website, but it’s always best just to come along.
My name is Hugh Wallace, and I have for nearly nine years been the minister of Newhills Parish Church. Together we are followers of Jesus who want to encourage others to meet with the One who offers hope, life, peace and forgiveness to all. Why not take a look inside.
