A house group is exactly this – it is a group of individuals who meet in a house! However, it is more than just a social gathering. We meet to encourage study of the bible or a particular theme with a Christian content, pray for the needs of any of its members and others in need. Meeting times are decided by each group, taking place usually each fortnight.

Each group, which is comprised of about eight people, has a leader. The leader’s role is to “manage” their time together. He or she will lead the study, ensuring that all have the opportunity to make known their comments or questions. The leader isn’t there to teach but rather to “control” proceedings.

Meetings are conducted on an informal basis in a comfortable and non-threatening atmosphere. Being part of a House Group is an ideal way to learn and grow in one’s faith.
